Benjamin Cheng

I'm Benjamin Cheng (aka bcheng or lolzballs). I try to share things I hope people will find interesting/useful at my blog.

I am currently in the 4th year of my undergrad in Engineering Science at the University of Toronto specializing in Machine Intelligence. I am currently working on an undergraduate thesis with Prof. Glenn Gulak with the goal of accelerating Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) on GPUs using Vulkan.

Previously, I completed a 16-month internship at AMD in the Multimedia Software team. Notable contributions include implementing Temporal Adaptive Quantization in the AMF SDK.

I have an interest in making things run fast, whether its low-level things like networking and hardware, or high-level things like machine learning algorithms, and websites.
